Mother's Day Haiku

Paul Rance
It's unspoken love -
Even death can't break the bond -
Giver of our soul.

Mother's Day in the UK is today - March 14th. My own Mother is still alive, but I was also thinking, when I wrote this, of those who have lost their Mothers. I find Father's Day difficult, because my own Father isn't around, so I know how difficult these days can be - and how insensitive a lot of the commercialization is. - P.R.

Very considerate of you to think of us, the ones who have lost our mothers.

How lovely. My mother passed in 1974 - the pain of loss still is there, but the sweet memories endure.
