Mother's Day Ideas for Mom

Gift and Activities to Make Mom Feel Special

Stephanie Manning
Wondering what to get Mom for Mother's Day? Sure, you could get her one of those "Worlds Greatest Mom' shirts. But lets face it- those are gifts to be given by children! Now it's not as simple as coloring a picture and glueing on some macaroni. We want to get our mothers something nice. Something she can enjoy! Here are a few simple ideas on what to buy to please any mother on her special day:

Gift Certificate to her favorite store

One day pass to a spa

Pajama Gram

Gift Certificate for a Manicure and Pedicure

Jewelry

Gift Basket of goodies

A new piece to her favorite collection

Perfume

Bath and body set

Gift Certificate to her favorite restaurant

Bottle of her favorite wine

Favorite Plant or Flowers

Her favorite style Cook book!

Make over

Facial

Looking for something more personal for Mom this year? How about making her something from the heart. Start by making her a beautiful hand made mothers day card. Get some nice card stock, decorate it with her favorite colors, hand write a heartfelt message, and finish it off with her favorite picture of you two on the front. It will be a Mother's Day card that she can cherish and display for many years to come. As for as the gifts make her something you know she will enjoy! Here are a few idea's on things to make mom for mothers day:

Crochet a handmade blanket
Handmade quilt

Potted flower garden with mom's favorites flowers

Home crafted wind chime

Scrapbook with some of her most treasured moments of her and her children

Perhaps you have one of those moms who don't want you to get her anything at all and would rather spend time with you then have a fancy gift. Instead of buying her material things try spicing up something she already has. Maybe she's been wanting new flower beds put in or maybe she wants to change her kitchen from sunflowers to apples but don't have time or her health won't allow it. Spend the day planing her favorite flowers among a beautiful rose bed or paint her kitchen and set it up with new decor all around.

Once you have given Mom her special gift that she will remember forever, you will be ready for a fun, heartfelt day, devoted to making Mom feel special. Finish the day off with a nice dinner whether its at home or her favorite restaurant. Remember it's Mother's Day so be sure to incorporate Mom's favorite activities through out the day. Whether you spend a dollar or thousands, Mom will remember every Mother's Day forever. Especially the special ones!

Maybe even typing or writing out things like 1 day free babysitting
or a free cooked meal or 1 free car wash, something that you could do for her so she doesnt have to.
