"Mother's Day Poem"

Everyday Mom's Day

Roserock

Mother's day is everyday
Every month holds Mother's day.
For she cleans and cooks with little thanks;
She tucks us in with prayers not spanks.

Her patient smile when I do wrong
She wipes her apron that's a little long.
On the Sunday we bless her with gifts
Then eat her food and cookie twists.

We leave her home after many years
Even though we're too busy now to visit and wipe her tears.
Mother's gone now: time has taken our mother away
She passed last Sunday on this Mother's Day.
