Directions for Mother's Day '" Sunday Brunch Waffles

In a small bowl beat egg whites until stiff, then set aside. In a large mixing bowl, sift together the dry ingredients. A lot of people do not sift anymore, but it is the quickest way I know of to make sure that the dry ingredients are evenly dispersed. In a another bowl mix egg yolks and cream just until well blended, then pour this mixture into the dry ingredients and mix until well blended. Stir in melted margarine and walnuts. Gently fold beaten egg whites into the batter. *It is okay if the batter is kind of lumpy. You don't want to over beat because it will make the waffles kind of tough.2
Serve with Sliced Bananas (or fruit of choice)
In a bowl, peel and slice bananas, planning on approximately ý banana for each guest. Since bananas tend to turn a little brown after peeling, lightly sprits with lemon juice. Cover, and place in refrigerator until ready to serve3
Top with warm Spiced Butter Honey Syrup
Prepare Spiced Honey Syrup:1 cup honeyý cup margarine; softened if you use margarine cubesý teaspoon cinnamonIn a microwaveable dish, combine these three ingredients. Cover and let sit until right before you are ready to serve brunch. When ready; warm Spiced Honey Syrup in microwave just until mixture is nice and warm. This usually takes about a minute. If you do not have a microwave; setting the bowl in a pan of hot water will do the same thing, it will just take a little longer.Tip
You can use regular milk for these waffles, and if you do, omit the baking soda. I like to use cream because it makes a fluffier waffle.
