Mother's Day and the Temptations in Grand Junction

Mother's Day is Sunday, May 8th and The Temptations are performing a special Motown concert at the Avalon Theater in Grand Junction. Instead of flowers or searching for a gift, Mom will love watching and listening to The Temptations on stage performing many of their hits.

The Temptations were Motown's most successful male group in the 1960's and early 1970's. With hits like "I Wish It Would Rain", "The Way You Do The Things You Do", "Cloud Nine", "Ain't Too Proud To Beg", and their classic from 1965, "My Girl", it's no wonder that this Motown group are Grammy Award winners and were inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Many of The Temptations hits were written by singer/songwriter, Smokey Robinson during their successful career. The group formed in 1961 in Detroit.

The Temptations have only one original band member alive today and that's Otis Williams. Otis Williams will lead the Temptations in singing many of their hits for Mom on Mother's Day.

The show begins at 7:30 pm at the Avalon Theater in the Two Rivers Convention Center in downtown Grand Junction. Plenty of parking is available.
