Mothers - May '11

Mothers - May '11

("When I stopped seeing my mother with the eyes of a child, I saw the woman who helped me give birth to myself." ~ Nancy Friday)

No one ever knew his Mother
but he - and he never knew
the Mother of his brother,
never knew the Mother
of his sisters two.

Until time folds on itself,
until you are he, and he is you,
he will never know you - you,
will never know he.

No one ever knew his Mother,
and he never knew his Mother's
son.

But he? He, his
Mother's son, will never
forget
his Mother.
