A mother I will always be.
A daughter I am,
A daughter I will alway be.
Mother, oh Mother,
Where did the time go?
Just Yesterday little me crawled into your bed,
Just for you to feel the hotness of my for head.
For at that moment I did not feel well,
so you let me lay with you just for a spell.
Mother, Oh Mother,
Where did the time go?
Now my little one is snug in my arms,
snuggled with his head upon my chest.
His for head his warm and faced a little flushed,
I feel life around me getting overwhelmed and rushed.
Mother Oh Mother,
Where did the time go?
When did I go from being the daughter,
To being the loving and worried mom?
You've taught me well, and this I knew
For you comforted me when I was feeling Blue.
As my son is feeling the way I did that day,
I remember what you use to say.
I'm here for you always, I will leave you none,
I will teach you my ways, some day you may have a son!
I shall in turn pass your words on,
continuously after each and ever dawn.

Shell - I love reading poems about moms especially those that celebrate the mom that nurtured and the mom we became because of that nurturing. Loved the read!
Let's here it for all mothers, everywhere. The hand that rocks the cradle rules the world...(Alexander the Great I believe, but I hope there won't be a test later. LOL)
Anyway, this is so special & you are, it appears, one of the best mothers there are.
