When you had me, your life wasn't rich,
wasn't rich of money or was it rich of love,

You gave me away, for the reasons I wasn't sure,
cause when you were home,
you never bothered to say,
go brush your teeth, hon,
but when your friends did show,
it was always, "off to play", its time for my fun!

So anyway, I went to a family,
a family that cared,
that when we got in trouble,
with our problems they could bear.

It also wasn't the greatest,
but never having that kind of love,
it was the best.

Well now your here, and I'm happy to see you,
but you can't expect me to always be in the mood to love and respect you.

That might sound wrong,
cause you might be ready to start over,
but i still remember the past,
and all your love,
when you had the chance,
from me you had cast!

So please don't blame me,
nor do you try to shame me,
or whatever words you might throw in my face,
I've grown to have pride,
and from my feelings and emotions,
I shall no more hide.

So don't enhance me with your curse,
If you want to be friends,
for a start,
try to be understanding,
try to have a heart!
