Motivational Hypnotherapy

Although the field of Motivational Hypnotherapy can extend to sport, acting and other areas, the typical individual seeking motivation in his or her life will likely be experiencing relationship boredom, issues in the workplace or a general lack of interest. This excludes depression which is a separate field of therapy.

Effectiveness Of Therapy:

When a client seeks motivational therapy, the outcome is almost always a successful one due to the fact that they, themselves have been consciously aware enough of the need to look for help that they readily make the effort required to achieve satisfaction from the process. Female clients will likely be between the ages of twenty to thirty years, while male clients tend to range from thirty to fifty. Most often, the initial statement is one of dissatisfaction with one's overall life performance, and nothing in particular. Upon further investigation it will be found that relationship issues, feelings of inferiority from a vocational point of view, or even religious inner conflict can be the cause. The range is vast, yet generally predictable during the initial interview.

Step By Step To A Happier You:

Allowing the client to open up to you and to express their feelings is first and foremost. Building rapport is essential if this is to occur. A question and answer session regarding their knowledge of Hypnotherapy is to be included, and the client can then be hypnotized for relaxation purposes. Suggestions of worth and self confidence are given in this first session. The client's second consultation will be more calming for them, since they will associate feelings of well being with their previous visit with you.

Step Two:

Having completed a an informal discussion with the client, it is wise to initiate dream therapy. Having the client participate by journaling between sessions encourages thoughts of self awareness. That is, by writing things down which displease them, they can reflect on how they would like things to change for the better. Suggestions to the client, followed by auto suggestions can stimulate memories of dreams upon waking. They can then be written down whilst still fresh in the mind and analyzed more thoroughly at their third session.

Step Three:

Through ongoing conscious discussion and Hypnotherapy, the client will maintain an overall more relaxed state. Obviously, ridding oneself of stress is a key initiator to success when dealing with motivational issues. Have the client present their list of wanted changes and prioritize them. Goal setting is vital for success. Select one issue at a time and work toward making effective life alterations to achieve and maintain that positive new change. As each change is in effect, yet another can be worked on.

Behavioral And Suggestible Personality Types:

It is most important to educate the client about the different personality and suggestibility types. Some behavioral types are more inclined to seek material possessions in order to feel motivated and successful, whilst others receive more personal satisfaction from praise and their career status. This type of person needs constant reassurance of their worth, moreso than the former.

Summary:

Hypnotherapy is used in every session to reinforce self confidence and feelings of well being. It is most critical to keep a newly boosted person motivated with feelings of this new found contentment, and not allow emotional inertia to set in. The stagnant person will be the most likely to be pushed by well meaning family and friends to seek therapy, and this can be detrimental if it is misinterpreted by the client. A person who seeks therapy of his or her own accord in the first instance is more likely to succeed.
