Motivational Potty Training Charts

Although potty training is a mile stone, the mark of a baby growing into toddler or preschool age, potty training is still chore. No matter the readiness of your child, it will still take a bit of effort and time on your part to make the transition happen. Sometimes support in the form of an awards chart can be encouraging. The act of filling in a chart or placing a sticker on the chart can be motivation enough. This activity can be used as positive reinforcement as well as documentation of their efforts. Use your computer and print out a chart. Hang the chart in the bathroom and either use a check off method, stickers or coloring to fill in the charts. You will want to keep the experience as positive as possible. Allow one sticker for sitting, another for pee and possibly a different kind of sticker; maybe fancier, for poop. That way you can also keep track of their bowel movements to make sure they aren't getting constipated. Here is a list of some great online printables that are free to use.
