Motorcycle or Scooter Glove Covers

Whether you ride a scooter or a motorcycle you're faced with certain things that you have in common. Sure, you can buy leather jackets, leather chaps, insulated long johns, and other warm clothing. And you're going to need all of that if you love riding on cold days. You'll also need a way to protect your face from freezing temperatures so a helmet with a face mask is a must. But even after you have all your gear together, when you get back from that cold ride, you can bet your hands will be frozen. The wind hits constantly and severely on the hands as you ride. It doesn't matter that you have on a pair of gloves - or more than one pair - your hands are going to be cold. But there is something you can do to prevent that from happening. Your hands can stay as warm as they would be indoors when you make glove covers.

There's a quick and easy way to make glove covers although it might not look all that attractive. Just put on your regular gloves and slide a thick plastic bag - like a freezer bag - over each glove. Wrap the bag snugly around the wrist area of the glove, using tape. It's important that you don't wrap it too tightly; you want to be able to get the bag-covered glove off your hand at any time.

You can get the same results by using a different approach to the glove covers. Use a pair of stretch-knit gloves on your hands first. Then, slide on a pair of rubber dish washing gloves. The dish washing gloves fit easily over the stretch-knit gloves and will help hold in the warm air. To conceal the dish washing gloves, simply wear a pair of leather or other gloves over them. With the dish washing gloves placed between the two pair of other gloves, you won't have to worry about rain or moisture getting in, and your hands will stay warm and dry no matter how long you ride.

Although it's a bit of a hassle to get them on and off, surgical gloves also work in the same manner as the dish washing gloves. With the surgical gloves, though, it's nearly impossible to stretch them over another set of gloves. Instead, just wear the surgical gloves under another set(s) to keep them dry, and much warmer than they would otherwise be.

Sure, you've been looking at those pricey, leather gloves, but why pay such a high cost? With a cheap pair of rubber gloves, a plastic bag, or a pair of surgical gloves, you can ride all you want and never have cold hands again!
