The Motorola CLIQ XT mobile phone is the only phone from MotoBlur series which does not have a physical QWERTY keyboard. The design of the phone isn't very appealing: the gray and chrome color combination gives it a little repulsive look; however, the CLIQ XT is very comfortable holding in hands. The slim, rounded body gives a nice feel to the phone; especially a rubber back with a texture provides comfortable grip and stability. Motorola CLIQ XT measures 2.3 x 4.6 x 0.5 inches and weighs about 4.6 ounces. Because it lacks the QWERTY keyboard, this makes this phone very pocket friendly. However, there are modifications in Motorola CLIQ XT's virtual Android keyboard. The keys are wider and there is more space between them, making the virtual keyboard more user friendly.
The CLIQ XT smartphone has got a display screen which measures 3.1 inches which is not very big in today's standards, however the screen size and resolution (320 x 480) matches other MotoBlur phones. Color quality is fine, with bright and well developed colors but it fails to meet the quality of smartphones such as Motorola Droid. The touchscreen does not deliver top quality; it sometimes fails to produce 100 per cent correct response, especially if browsing in large scale lists like contact list.
One of the best CLIQ XT's features is the Connected Music Player. This was something that I loved, especially if you are often fed up with your music library and looking for something new. The Connected Music Player allows you to tune into Shoutcast or Last.FM if you are looking for new music. Or, log on to GoTV and Youtube to see your desired videos. The Connected Music Player is definitely a very nice feature which allows you to expand the limits of entertainment.
Motorola CLIQ XT has a 5-megapixel camera which quality is quite well; I would say it is definitely higher than average and reaching for high-end category. The camera comes with flash and delivers equally good picture indoors and outdoors. However, the camera is a bit slow and the shutter speed could be faster.
The CLIQ XT phone can handle large websites well, they load equally well on 3G and on Wi-Fi.
All in all, the Motorola CLIQ XT smartphone is a quality phone which delivers pretty much all of the Android OS features. However, the display size could be larger and the performance could be a bit better. Other than that, Motorola CLIQ XT is worth looking into.
