Motorola Razr V9m Coming in September

Good news for Motorola RAZR fans, the Motorola RAZR V9m, a new model in Motorola's revamped RAZR line, will soon be coming to a Verizon Wireless store near you. Verizon announced in their latest press release that the sleek RAZR V9m will be available to Verizon Wireless Customers in September.

The RAZR V9m features a sleek design coupled with the latest mobile phone technology. The Motorla RAZR V9m has the famous RAZR sleek, slim and streamlined flip design and weighs just under 117g. The phone's body has a vacuum metal finish with jewelry like accents. It has an external 2.0 inch QVGA display with touch sensitive music keys and an internal 2.2 inch QVGA screen. Users can now read incoming SMS through the phone's external display.

Some of Motorola's RAZR V9m specifications include a 2 megapixel digital camera that has the capability to digitally zoom in on the image up to 4x. The camera can capture videos and supports MPEG 4, H.263, and H.264. An integrated music player is included that can playback MP3, WMA, AAC, AAC+ as well as other music formats. Customers can listen to their music through the phone's micro USB headset or through stereo Bluetooth headsets since the Motorola's V9m supports A2DP Bluetooth profile. The Motorola RAZR V9m can support up to 2 GB of optional removable memory. In Motorola's specification sheet for the RAZR V9m, the company claims that the phone has a talk time of 220 minutes or 290 hours of stand by time.

Since the phone is 3G compatible, the RAZR V9m can access Verizon's V Cast services like the Get it Now applications and Verizon's over-the-air downloading of songs. Verizon claims that customers can download full music tracks over the air from the company's catalog of over 2 million songs.

Motorola introduced its new RAZR lines, dubbed RAZR2, last May and the V9m is included. Motorola stated that the RAZR2 line of phones are more sleeker, stronger, smarter, slimmer, and stylish than the first RAZR line. Motorola's RAZR phones have been one of the best selling phones in the market since its introduction and has helped increase Motorola's market share in the mobile phone industry.

The Motorola RAZR2 V9m will be available online through the company's website and Verizon Wireless Communications Stores for $299.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate and a new 2 year contract.

There has also been rumors going around the blogosphere that Sprint will also be launching the Motorola RAZR2 V9m sometime next month.

It is truely a great addition to motorola's phones.
I dont know how well it will compete with the iphone, but it is still very neat.
