JWhite
The Razr2 V9 is one of the models in Motorola's second generation of Razr phones. It sports Motorola's iconic thin, clamshell design but with a larger screen and crammed with lots of new features.

The Design

Like all other Razr phones, the Razr2 V9 has a clamshell form factor with a stainless steel frame that makes the handset durable and resilient, though a fingerprint magnet. Materials used on the phone's body include a vacuum metal finish and a two-tone soft touch housing. The Razr2 V9 has a large 2 inch external display and below the screen are touch sensitive music keys which allows the users to play music on their v9 without opening the device.

Specifications

The Razr2 V9 aside from being an eye candy is packed with features. Specifications of the phone include: GSM 900, 1800, 1900 and WCDMA 850 and 1900 cellular technology, 2 inch external display and 2.2 inch internal display, weighs .3 lbs, has Bluetooth Wireless Interface with A2DP, touch sensitive external music keys, 2.0 mega pixel camera with 8x digital zoom, Micro USB, USB 2.0 Full Speed, USB mass storage connectivity features, digital player and recorder, caller id, and 45 MB internal memory expandable through microSD card.

Features

The Razr2 V9 has what Motorola calls a "see what I see" capability. The "see what I see" capability allows users to stream live video footage to another wireless customer while a call is in progress. This feature of course, depends upon the service availability of your wireless carrier. Video Telephony is only compatible with 3G enabled networks. The Razr2 V9 is also equipped with Motorola's CrystalTalk Technology. The CrystalTalk Technology automatically accounts for background noise and adjusts the audio to match the ambient volume, allowing users to be heard even when in a crowd. The Razr2 V9 also has 3G HDSPA (High-Speed Downlink Packet Access) 3.6 Mbps technology which allows users to download at speeds of up to 1.8Mbps or view live streaming videos or access the internet at broadband speeds. Again HSDPA is network dependent, but it will work with AT&T's broadband services. The phone's camera has a self-timer, a free-memory space indicator, five shutter sounds, six lighting options, seven color styles, five exposure settings, and allows video and audio capture.

The Razr2 V9's music player can support MP3s, AACs, and WMAs formats, and has a repeat and shuffle mode, a spatial audio setting, and a bass boost setting.

Battery life of the phone is 3.6 hours of talk time and 12 days of stand by time. Other basic features of the V9 include, a vibrate mode, calculator, alarm clock, world clock, text and multimedia messaging, speakerphone, voice recorder, voice command and dialing, instant messaging, e-mail, and web browser.

Conclusion

Motorola's Razr2 V9 phone is not just a part 2 version of the Razr line that has little to no upgrades, it's a completely new and revamped phone that is a class on its own. The phone does not only catches the eye with its gorgeous and thin design, it also delivers in terms of performance.
