Specifications and features of the Moto Q Music 9m as posted at Verizon Wireless' website include: EV-DO access, 2.4 inch TFT display with 65K colors and 320 x 240 pixel resolution, Windows Mobile 6 Operating System, V Cast Music Capable, two home screens, Pocket Internet Explorer, Wireless Sync, 1.3 mega pixel camera with flash, dual stereo quality speakers, 2.5 mm headset jack, Windows Media Player Mobile 10, Bluetooth Stereo technology, 64 MB built-in memory expandable up to 32 GB miniSD, advanced speech recognition, and aGPS capable, among others.
Motorola's press release also stated that the Moto Q Music 9m also offers productivity applications such as Document-To-Go that can view and edit email attachments, MS Word Mobile, Excel Mobile, PowerPoint, and supports viewing of Acrobat PDF files. The Moto Q 9m's two home screens include a Multimedia Home Screen which allows quick access to the V Cast Music Service, and a Standard Home Screen.
The Moto Q Music 9m sports a thin design with black and red colors. This mobile device has an ergonomically optimized QWERTY keyboard which, according to Motorola, allows for more accurate typing, a side scroll thumbwheel similar to that of the Blackberry, and dedicated keys that can access messaging, multimedia and the speakerphone features of the device.
Since the Moto Q music 9m will come exclusive to Verizon Wireless, the device will offer Verizon's V Cast Music service which will allow owners of the device to download full music tracks over-the-air. According to Verizon Wireless, the V Cast Music service has over two million songs on its database.
The Moto Q music 9m has dimensions of 4.6 inches in height, 2.6 inches in width and 0.47 inches thin. It has a weight of 4.76 ounces and an 1170 mAh Li-Ion Battery which can last up to 273 minutes of continuous use or 212 hours if on standby.
The Moto Q music 9m will be sold exclusively by Verizon Wireless for $299.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate and a new two-year contract. The Moto Q music 9m is already available online at Verizon Wireless and will be available in Verizon Wireless Stores on August 29.
