Motorola Xoom Tablet is Proof Motorola Should Stick to Making Cellphones

There are lots of new devices that try to be all your electronic devices in one device. Now you can buy a cellphone that does about everything. If you want something bigger than just a cell phone, they now make tablets. Since the cellphone was the first device to offer all your electronic needs in one place it should be no surprise that one of the most popular cellphone companies has made a tablet. The Motorola Xoom is now for sale. To find out how well Motorola can make a tablet, this Motorola Xoom review will tell you the features of the Xoom and it will also tell you how itcompares to other tablets and cellphones.

The Motorola Xoom is $600 which is pretty pricey compared to other tablets. If the Motorola Xoom had lots of extra features that made it better than other tablets it might be worth the extra cost but you really don't get much more for the money and in some cases you get less than other tablets which are cheaper.

One obvious problem is the Motorola Xoom has wi-fi but not 4G. The Dell Streak has 4G but it is $150 cheaper. The camera is only 5MP which is smaller then the HTC Thunderbolt but the Xoom does have a better web cam. The camera is HD at 720p.

The Motorola Xoom has a good OS but it has a slow processor so it runs a little slow. The Motorola Xoom does offer 32GB of memory which is as big as tablets or cellphones usually get. The Motorola Xoom does not come with many programs to start but you can add lots of your own. Some machines have to many useless programs to start that just slow up the loading process.

What I don't like about the Motorola Xoom is that it is not as good as other similar products that are cheaper. There are cellphones that are do more then the Xoom. Another problem I have to share in this Motorola Xoom review is that the Xoom is not as good as other tablets either.

In my opinion and based on my experience with a Motorola Xoom as you have read in this Motorola Xoom review the Xoom does work and it does what is is supposed to. On its own the Xoom would be fine. However in a world full of other smart phones and tablets the Xoom is overpriced for what it does. Motorola should stick to cellphones and not make tablets. Motorola can make cellphones that are better then the Xoom. Motorola is a good brand but it should not soil that brand name by making devices that it cant bring the same high Motorola standards to.
