Motorola's MotoRazr2 V8 and V9 Phones

Last May, Motorola announced the revamp of its popular Razr line of phones and dubbed it, the MotoRazr2. Now, Motorola is preparing for the MotoRazr2's US debut as the top U.S. wireless carriers began announcing pricing and availability dates of the new Razr's.

According to Motorola, Alltel, AT&T, Spring, T-Mobile, US Cellular, and Verizon Wireless will carry the new Razr2 phones and will soon be announcing the availability dates for the phones within the next fourteen days.

Motorola's MotoRazr2 line includes the MotoRazr2 V8, V9, and V9m models. All three phones will sport the original Razr design but more sleeker, and slimmer. The MotoRazr 2 phones all have stainless steel frame, vacuum metal housing, hardened glass, spun metal and chrome, they also feature a features touch sensitive music controls located on the 2 inch QVGA external display and a 2.2 inch internal display.

The MotoRazr 2 V8 features a 2 megapixel camera with 8x zoom and can capture MPEG 4 videos, Bluetooth 2.0, microUSB connection, and Quadband GSM technology. Software features include Windows Media Player 11 synchronization, MotoSync feature that has the ability to synchronize Email, phonebook and calendar over the air, and a full HTML browser that enables web surfing even on a non-WAP compatible site. The V8 has 512 MB of internal memory but could go has high up as 2 GB of memory depending on the configuration of the phone which, according to Motorola, varies by service provider.

The Razr 2 V9 includes a two-tone soft touch housing that makes the V9 the more stylish of the three phones. The V9 also has a 2 megapixel camera with 8x digital zoom and can capture and playback MPEG 4 videos, micro USB connectivity, expandable microSD card slot, and Bluetooth that supports A2DP and AVRCP profiles. What sets the V9 apart from the V8 is that the V9 is a 3G capable. With 3G, the phone can stream live video to another person while a call is in progress. The V9 has the latest 3G High Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) that can connect the user to the internet at broadband speeds.

MotoRazr 2 phones are also equipped with Motorola's Crystal Talk technology. The Crystal Talk technology accounts for background noise and adjusts the audio to match the background volume so users can be heard even in a crowd.

Recently, Verizon Wireless has already announced availability and pricing for the MotoRazr 2 V9m. Motorola advised consumers to check with their wireless carriers for specific availability dates.
