Mount Rainier, situated in the Cascade Mountain Range, stands a majestic 14,411 feet high in altitude. Mount Rainier National Park is just over 50 miles from the city of Seattle, offering an array of activities with hiking trails, mountain flowers, skiing, fishing and more. It is the tallest mountain in the state of Washington, thus drawing millions of visitors each year who come to enjoy the natural beauty of this National Park. There are hotel accommodations surrounding the park, for people who wish to stay close to Mount Rainier while they explore all that this beautiful mountain has to offer.
Paradise Inn
Situated directly inside Mount Rainier National Park is the Paradise Inn. This 121 guest room hotel was first erected in 1916, featuring a Native American decor. Outside of this facility are a vast array of hiking trails, areas for fishing, skiing and bird watching. When the summer months arrive, the mountain flowers are quite a sight to behold, offering a visual treat. The visitors center features history and information about the area, while visitors can enjoy the Longmire Museum. Each of the guest rooms feature comfortable beds with premium quality bedding, microwave ovens, coffee makers and miniature refrigerators. Guests will find that rooms are without televisions and telephones, giving a rugged experience to the guests.
National Park Inn
Situated in the park boundaries of Mount Rainier National Park, is the National Park Inn hotel accommodations. This hotel offers breathtaking views of Mount Rainier from the facilities, with skiing in the winter, hiking all year round, and fishing in teh streams. Each of the hotel rooms are furnished with kitchenettes that have microwave ovens, cook top stoves, refrigerators and coffee makers. Other guest room amenities include hair dryers and comfortable bedding. The facility has a restaurant and a lounge located on-site. Guests can rent skis from this hotel as well.
Crystal Mountain Hotels
Set in an area that is about five miles from the entrance to Mount Rainier National Park, are the Crystal Mountain Hotels, a three building Bavarian style facility for guests to the area. Just outside the door there are breathtaking views of Mount Rainier, as well as hiking trails, skiing areas and places for fishing. Each of the guest rooms feature rustic, yet contemporary decor, with comfortable bedding, coffee and tea making facilities, microwave ovens, refrigerators and hair dryers. There are restaurants in all three of the buildings, with breakfast that is served on a patio with full views of Mount Rainier National Park in all of it's splendor.
