Mountain State University's Doctor Degree in Executive Leadership: Review

Mountain State University located in Beckley, West Virginia now offers a Doctorate Degree in Executive Leadership. The Doctorate in Executive Leadership program builds upon the Master's of Strategic Leadership program the university offers.

The Doctor of Executive Leadership program is offered at Mountain State's main campus in Beckley, WV. Students will attend class two times a month. A hybrid program will be available to students of this doctorate program must attend a four day residency at one of Mountain State's campuses. The hybrid program consists of on-site then after the four day residency, students will continue their studies via online courses, pro-seminars, and action oriented research.

Admission to the Doctorate Program in Executive Leadership an individual will need to have completed a master's or first professional degree in any field from a regionally accredited institution. Also, as part of the application process students must complete, a three to five-page essay describing the applicant's anticipated contribution to a doctoral leadership program, a resume detailing a minimum of five years of professional experience in a leadership role, and recommendation letters both professionally and academically. All students will be interviewed by the admissions committee of the Doctorate of Executive Leadership program.

The cost of the Doctorate in Executive Leadership is $650 per credit hour. There are approximately 12 classes to take for the program.
