Mountain View Cal Train Changes
Neighborhood: Mountain View
San Jose, CA 94041
United States of America
Many residents in Mountain View use Cal Train for commuting, appointments, trips into San Francisco, etc. With all of the budget issues affecting many Mountain View services--including Cal Train--the Cal Train Board felt they had no choice but to make these hard decisions in order to stay as a "lean organization".

--The Go Pass will increase from $140 to $155
--The San Francisco and San Jose Diridon stations are closed--vending machine purchase is available
--Northbound: 237 and 257 and southbound: 236 and 256 will be eliminated between 9:30 am and 2:30 pm
--25ยข increase in zone fares
--Weekend Express trains are being considered

While the rate hikes are painful, the schedule changes are likely to be the hardest adjustment for Mountain View riders. For more information go to Cal Train Schedules.
