tired
insignifi(can't)
i wrote the rules and tore them up
and taped them back together
so the words were all fouled up
and different places
than they were
when i began
don't
let
go
was something else and half the words got lost
this is as close as i could get
to what i meant.
my eyes are falling closed
tumble lashes, smeared eyeliner
leaving scars of black and glitter
on my cheeks
i am exhausted
from the simple act
of living.
we are (really no not really
yes
really
are)
here
i can hear the music playing now
and the conversation's over
and the talking's just begun.
