Neighborhood: Clinton Hill
Brooklyn, NY 11205

Did you miss Move About Myrtle last year? Don't worry; it's back and better than ever for 2010. Starting this Sunday, September 5th and going for all four Sundays this month, the avenues through this part of Brooklyn (between Hall and Clermont) will burst with activity!

This public space, usually jam-packed with foot traffic comprised of people just trying to get to and from work will be transformed into a pedestrian-friendly haven with plenty of room for those that love to bicycle, stroll, dance, and people-watch their way through Brooklyn in this public space.

That's right; no cars!

Move About Myrtle is partnered with the Department of Transportation's Weekend Walks and is all about celebrating community and residents. Lasting from noon until 6:00 PM each Sunday in September, there will be plenty of free music, performances, arts and crafts, games, workshops, and much more.

The first weekend of Move About Myrtle will be a "Back to School Celebration" with one last day full of fun before heading back to class; perfect for the Labor Day weekend. This event is perfect for the whole family since all ages are welcome.
