This public space, usually jam-packed with foot traffic comprised of people just trying to get to and from work will be transformed into a pedestrian-friendly haven with plenty of room for those that love to bicycle, stroll, dance, and people-watch their way through Brooklyn in this public space.
That's right; no cars!
Move About Myrtle is partnered with the Department of Transportation's Weekend Walks and is all about celebrating community and residents. Lasting from noon until 6:00 PM each Sunday in September, there will be plenty of free music, performances, arts and crafts, games, workshops, and much more.
The first weekend of Move About Myrtle will be a "Back to School Celebration" with one last day full of fun before heading back to class; perfect for the Labor Day weekend. This event is perfect for the whole family since all ages are welcome.
