Movie "Killing Bono" to Have Free Screening in Conjunction with U2 Concert

The history making 360 Tour by U2 is drawing to a close. The Pittsburgh stop of the tour is its next to last and will be on Tuesday, July 26, 2011. The opening band will be Interpol and as of this writing there are still tickets available. Will you be there?

If so, things just got better for you. @U2 (http://www.atu2.com) has just announced that they are hosting a reception and conversation with Neil McCormick, music critic for "The Telegraph" and fellow student of the boys of U2 from their days in Mount Temple Comprehensive School, on July 25, 2011. This reception will follow a free screening of the movie "Killing Bono" which is loosely based on McCormick's memoir "I Was Bono's Doppelganger" (title for Europe and the rest of the world) or "Killing Bono" (title for the U.S.), which chronicles his efforts to be the next Irish rockstar while U2 were actually achieving it. The screening will take place at the Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center (LPPAC) in Midland, PA.- just outside of Pittsburgh- and the reception will begin at about 9:30 PM Eastern Daylight Time. It will likely run until 11:00 PM EDT. The ticket price for the reception will be $10 per person to cover the cost of food and refreshments.

Talking points will likely include the movie "Killing Bono", U2 and the 360 Tour, what it was like to go to school with the boys, and anything else U2 fans may want to know. @U2 will also take questions from attendees for McCormick.

So you want to really get in the spirit and make a "joyful noise" with Neil McCormick and fellow fans as the 360 Tour prepares to disappear into space? This is your chance! Go to http://www.atu2.com to reserve your tickets online before they are a thing of the past!
