Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay
Directed by Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg
Written by Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg
After watching Harold (John Cho) and Kumar (Kal Penn) last, I was sort of hoping never to see them again. The jokes in Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle weren't all that funny. Now we find the two stoners heading off to Amsterdam. Suddenly, when they are suspected of being terrorists, Harold and Kumar must escape the authorities by any and all means. This is when all of the recent controversial movies about terrorism and the war in a Iraq has hit a new low. When a dumb movie about stoners kind of pokes fun at terrorism, you just know that Hollywood is ready to move on to a completely different subject. I'll be there to see the end of the terrorist movie and the beginning of a new era of stupid. Just think, an entire decade of Charlie's Angels / Van Wilder comedies is just right around the corner.

First, there was Chevy Chase, Dan Akroyd, Bill Murray and John Belushi. Then there was Mike Myers and Dana Carvey, David Spade and Chris Farley, Adam Sandler and Rob Schneider, and even Will Ferrell and Chris Kattan. Now there's two of Saturday Night Live's own starletts, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler joining together on the big screen. Tina is playing Kate Holbrook and Amy is playing Angie Ostrowiski. Kate is a single, successful businesswoman who wants a baby. Angie is a working girl from South Philly who Kate wants to be a surrogate. This unwitting duo may prove to be more brilliant on the big screen as they were on the small screen. From the looks of the movie, it's smart and funny with just enough charm to keep audiences interested. But we won't know anything until April 25th.

The List or Deception
Directed by Marcel Langenegger

The biggest reason I'm looking forward to this little known movie is the two leads, Ewan McGregor and Hugh Jackman. I never thought I'd see either of these guys work together. McGregor is playing Jonathon and Jackman is playing Wyatt. From what I've gathered in my research, the movie is about an accountant who goes to a mysterious sex club known as The List by the suggestion of a lawyer friend. He is soon thrown into a world of sex, murder, suspicion and a multi-million dollar heist. If Jackman is playing the bad guy, I would not be surprised. Even if neither Jackman nor McGregor are playing the bad guys, I'm syked to see The List - or should I say, Deception.
