For those of you that were fans of Bridget Jones, this is right up your alley. With Bridget, you went through the confusing maze of being single in your 30's and trying to weed out all the "dimwits, perverts, alcoholic, workaholic, etc" men to find the perfect man. With the aid of dating books, your best friends, a lot of alcohol, and the perfect thongs, you try and try again, finally deciding it's better to just focus on self-improvement and forget about men. Then, when you are eventually self-improved, the perfect man realizes how amazing you are and comes running back to you.
In Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging, you'll go through all the same things with Georgia, except about 15 years earlier. You'll go through the confusing agony of going from being a girl to becoming a woman. You obsess over when you'll finally grow some boobs, fight with your parents to stop calling you munchkin, and spend forever staring in the mirror at that new zit you just formed. You'll find your adorable first crush, conspire with your best friends on how to get him to notice you, and learn how to perform the perfect kiss. You'll wonder how helpful it really is to wear thongs and try to grasp the idea of how it fits. You'll get confused over what it means when a guy says he'll call you or when he says "see you later." When you get your hands on your mom's dating book, you'll make a mess of things, and figure out that all the answers aren't in a book. You'll come to realize that it's better to focus on improving yourself than to be constantly chasing boys. Eventually, when you are self-improved, your dream boy realizes how amazing you are and confesses that he can't stop thinking about you.
For every woman looking for a warm, feel-good, entertaining movie, Angus Thongs and Perfect Snogging is the perfect fit!
