Movie Review: Chasing Liberty

Amanda Thompson
Call me silly, but the chick flick Chasing Liberty is one of my favorite movies. Its one of my guilty pleasures that combines all my favorite things: romance, a hot guy, and European travel.

The movie stars the beautiful Mandy Moore and the very cute Matthew Goode. It is a cute, clever romantic comedy with a radiant performance from Mandy Moore who plays Anna, the President's daughter. Anna is surrounded by Secret Service agents constantly ruining the normal teenage life she so desperately wants to lead. Anna convinces her Dad (Mark Hamon plays the President) to reduce the number of agents following her so she can go to a music club in Europe, but quickly realizes once she arrives he backed out of the deal. She ditches the agents and takes off with Ben, the handsome photographer she met outside the club. Anna never tells Ben who she is, and he keeps his own secrets as they travel across Europe running from the Secret Service agents trying to catch up with Anna. There is also a very cute sub plot with the two agents chasing Anna and Ben falling in love while on the chase.

If you buy the dvd of Chasing Liberty you can get additional scenes, a gag reel, the entire concert performance of The Seed by The Roots, commentary by the lead actors, and the awesome Passport to Europe: European Grand Tour With The Stars Recalling Their Fun During The Shoot And Offering Travel Tips.
