The movie starts off with the man, Frank Cadillac, whose role is played by Nicholas cage, doing a stage act as a magician. He uses his future prediction skills to astonish the audience. This man tricks a lot of people and it's really fun to watch. Frank works at a casino in Las Vegas and he decides to play at one of the games. The people watching over the cameras start to check on him because he is the "magician" from the Frank Cadillac act and they don't want him to try any tricks on them and cheat. As soon as they start talking about him, Frank looks toward the camera as if he could hear them. They freak out and wonder if how he knows they are talking about him. This is how the whole thing starts off.
Frank gets up and goes to the cashier to get his movie and there is a man that is about to kill two people, Frank see this in his two minute span of time and stops it. The guards then see Frank tackle the other man and take away his gun, so when they see Frank with the other man's gun in his hands they assume Frank was the one that planned the robbery.
Some members of the FBI are looking at Frank because they know he has the power to look into the future. They are having a problem with terrorist that recently attained possession of a nuclear bomb and are planning on detonating it. Of course, the FBI officials want Frank to help because he can look into the future. Frank, however, does not want to help them. He can't see more than two minutes into the future and thus he can't help. This is what starts off the movie and puts everything into place. I won't tell you anymore about the movie or else you won't enjoy it.
I will, however, tell you that I give this movie a 7.5 out of 10. Why? This movie has the pretty good special effects, it has a semi-good plot and the only reason I didn't rate it higher was because the ending was a little blah. However, I do recommend you watch this movie if you want to get a clue at what looking two minutes into the future might be like. Go to a rental store, rent Next starring Nicholas Cage and rate this movie for yourself. Have a good one!
