I believe this movie was made to hit the heart, and if it didn't hit the heart, then one must not have a soul. I felt for these women, wanted to cheer for these women, and wanted to stand right next to these woman. This movie captured the courage and strength these women faced from the beginning to the end. They never gave up the fight, even when they were at the lowest of lows, they never once did. I only wish for the courage these women possessed in fighting for what I believe in. They stuck together and made it through. There really is strength in numbers.
The amount of emotion this movie stirs up is amazing. It makes one want to cry, cheer, laugh, get angry, yell and feel proud at least once throughout the movie. That is something hard to accomplish, but this movie did it very well. I was very disgusz1ted by the men in this movie and the way these women were treated, when they did absolutely nothing wrong. It is amazing to see how much women were looked down on. How dare a man be able to touch a woman just because she is standing up for what she believes in. Women are no less than men now, as they were then. These women did not make the rules, but yet had to abide by them, that right there is very unconstitutional. If they must abide by them, they have every right to vote on them too. This movie really captured the cruelty, disrespect and stubbornness of men at this time.
These women truly are heroes in history. Because of them, women everywhere have the chance to vote. I know I am even more proud to be a woman than I already was. I believe everyone should see this movie, they may just change their whole perspective on voting and what it means to have the right to vote. I know it changed my view in a few ways. Furthermore, it taught some severely valuable lessons. Lessons like when fighting for what one believes in never give up, stay strong, and in the end, one will obtain exactly what they were fighting for. Through the good, the bad, and the ugly this movie really touched and captured the hard, amazing fight for women's rights.
