Movie Review: Resident Evil Extinction and the Previous Movies
Resident Evil Extinction Will Not Disappointment
The movies have added twists and turns and are exciting. If they stuck to the original story of the game, the movies of Resident Evil would be just like any other zombie movie and nobody would care less. If you don't like zombie movies don't shy away from watching the new Resident Evil movie or the previous ones because these movies are different. This isn't just a regular zombie movie with a bunch of bad actors thrown into a seen where zombies are taking over. Movies like that usually don't even give you a good story line and the zombies are there just because the director says they are. Most of the time you don't even know how the zombie came about and you go on to watch this stupid movie about people trying to kill zombies and that's it. That's the whole point of zombie movies and they are quite frankly stupid. This is coming from someone as myself that hates zombie and horror movies. They are all the same and are dry. Resident Evil movies are totally different.
The Resident Evil movies plots are exciting, well thought out and if you aren't carefully paying attention you might get lost. There are a lot of twists and turns in these movies and if you aren't careful you will miss something you shouldn't have. You definitely have to watch the first and second resident evil before you watch the newest one "Resident Evil Extinction", because if you don't the new one will make no sense to you and you probably won't enjoy the story line near as much. That is the best recommendation you can follow. I love that these movies are based on governmental secret experiments and viruses. It gives the movie a little more of a realistic feel and gives the zombies their reason for being instead of just having them walk around just because.
If you like movies with a lot of action, twists and turns, bizarre plots and action packed, fiction science, you will love these movies. I am going to go see Resident Evil Extinction with out a doubt. To all you cry baby, video gamers out there, you are just afraid of change and something different and shouldn't even be comparing movie reviews with gaming story reviews because they are totally two different things and require different out looks. I mean get a life. I play video games to play the games. I could care less what the story line is as long as the game play is excellent. I watch movies to watch a good show and could care less whether or not it came from a video game story and whether or not it followed the exact same guidelines as the game.

Post a CommentI can tell by your article that you are an avid fan of the Resident Evil series. I was as well until I saw Extintion. The movie seemed very short and the plot lacking in many respects. I do not play video games and I am a huge fan of GOOD zombie movies. Extinction was just one boring 'action' scene after another, and there wasn't much elaboration of the ongoing Umbrella Corp. aspect of the story. The commercials made it seem like we would be witnessing a dead world overrun with zombies. But all I saw was a desert. Many movies are shot in desert settings to cut down on costs, I.E. urban populations that must be managed, sets that must be built, and it ensures the plot will be a simple one without the burden of different set locations getting in the way. It is simpler to shoot a post-apocalypse movie in the desert - everything already looks abandoned and dead. There were no zombie back stories. No battle sequences with hoards of zombies besieging those survivors, some of which died befor
