Movie Review: Super 8
I was not very impressed by this film at all. In fact, I was disappointed. The short teaser for this film that was shown in theaters over a year ago was more exciting than the finished product. What I'm about to say could be a spoiler, but the basic plot of the film revolves around an alien that wants to go home. Sound familiar?
Because this film is set in 1979, one of the two cool things about this film is the soundtrack. The other cool thing are the special effects which is to be expected whenever Steven Spielberg and J.J. Abrams are involved in a project.
I also couldn't get over the fact that Joel Courtney, who plays Joe Lamb, looks a lot like Michael Jackson's son, Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr.!
If you feel that you absolutely must see this film only pay the matinee price, I'm glad I did. Rating: 2 out of 5 stars
