Movie Review: Twilight is a Modern Teenage "Soap Opera" Vampire Tale

Phillip W. Chambley
"This modern day teenage vampire soap opera saga will most likely continue forever between Bella and Edward forever!" Although, some of the original historical vampire "facts" have been changed in this beautifully closed faced non-physical love story, these two characters will most likely remain the same throughout the sequels to come in the near future".

Ironically, this film has very little violence, as opposed to the former gruesome vampire thrillers in the past of movie making regarding the "Count Dracula", which over the years has shown cheesy "wooden stakes going through the heart with pumping blood" or vampires dying in fiery flames from exposure to sunlight. Or better yet? the story of "Dracula turning into a bat, so he can fly and seek out his victims?"

You can forget all that stuff! If your planning on viewing this film! This heart warming love story 2008 movie is based on a "weird" story of Romeo and Juliet in modern times, except for the fact that high school student Edward Cullen (Robert Pattison) is a vampire, and the truly beautiful Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) is a mortal that falls in love with this so-called 17 year old teenager with "extremely white skin" and hidden powers. But, at the same time has the dreamy eyes, body and the face that most teenager females adore.

Bella has recently moved to Forks, Washington U.S.A to be with her father Charlie, a local town sheriff, and started to high school in this typical small town where everyone "knows what's going on with all the residents?" Even Bella's father has been suspicious at times because of the recent human deaths, which the local coroner explained as "animal biting deaths". Her father was always leary of the entire Cullen family whom always stayed to themselves and never caused any problems in the community over the years.

This recluse and often "hidden" Cullen family always seems to move back and forth within this peaceful and ironically always "wet community" simply because of the moisture and rain always seems to fit into their lifestyle? Which young Edward eventually explains to Bella the reason why they always move back to this town in this loving film. Edward reluctantly tells Bella of how and his family, Carlisle, Esme, Alice, Jasper, Emmett and Rosalie became vampires, that only consume animal blood, similar to the way humans become vegetarians in life, but always "crave human blood" at the same time.

However, certain film depicted violent vampires still seek the blood of humans called the evil three "James, Victoria, and Laurent". James the vampire is a notorious human blood seeker and also empire vampire slayer throughout the years. Giving this slow teenage soap opera film more value because of the action between Edward and James, whom has fell in love with this mortal Bella, that the Cullen family has decided to protect at this time in their history at no cost of exposure.

James, the bad vampire, smells the blood of the human being called Bella during a "weird" thundering and lightining baseball game in this open field of this secluded town. Edward and family realizes and also understands whats going on tries to protect his final human loving companion to death do us part called Bella. "That NO matter what happens, I will always love you!"
