This week I watched the movie Taken starring Liam Neeson.

Liam plays a retired government agent that is trying to make up for lost time with his daughter. He retires from his job and moves to a town so that he can re-establish a relationship with his 17 year old daughter. His ex-wife has remarried a very rich man and he provides all of the comforts of life for them. At a luncheon with his daughter, Kim, Liam's character is informed that his daughter wants to go to Paris. He (Liam) is not on board with this wish.

The ex-wife Lenora wants him to sign the paper to let her go, he at first declines and eventually comes around and signs the papers. His daughter is extremely happy and he sees her off at the airport. He buys her a cell phone so she can stay in touch with her father while she is overseas. The first sign of trouble begins when his daughter does not call him when she lands in Paris. The danger starts to begin when Kim and her friend Amanda(her traveling companion) meet a man outside of the airport claiming to be a student and they share a cab with this stranger. When they arrive at their destination the apartment they will be staying at while in paris which is a relatives apartment of Kim's friend Amanda. Amanda mentions to this stranger named Peter that they are all by themselves and that they have the entire 5th floor apartment. Peter eventually leaves and makes a phone call as he is walking away from the apartment complex. Within a couple of hours of their arrival, Kims father (Liam) tries to contact her and she goes into the bathroom to accept the call as she watches her friend Amanda dance around in the apartment and out of no-where Kim sees men in the apartment attacking her friend Amanda. Kim is on the phone with her father and he instructs her to hide under a bed and he tells her that she will be taken.

Throughout the ordeal she is taken and the men that abducted the two girls picks up Kim's phone where her father warns him that he will find them and his daughter. He also indicates that he has a high set of skills and that this man would of been better off letting his daughter go and the guy taunts him over the phone. Liam being the ex-government guy records the conversation and has his friends in the business analyze the information as he drives over to his ex-wife's house to inform her as to what has happened. The analysis comes back that these are very bad men that abduct unsuspecting young female tourists and get them hooked on drugs and turn them into prostitutes. Will he find her, will she be unharmed, what will he have to do to get her back?
