Landmark E Street Cinema: Picking up where the now defunct Visions Cinema left off, E Street Cinema has been one of DC's top spot for Independent and Foreign Films. This theater has been the home for film festivals like Filmfest DC, DC Shorts and more. It's part of the Landmark Theater group. This venue does not only sales popcorn and soda. It also has an espresso bar in the Theater. This place has 8 screens with wall to wall screens and stadium seating. It's also very close to the Metro, for those who hate driving in DC. A few blocks from it is ESPN Zone and Post Office Pavillon. It's open seven days a week opening at 11:30 a.m.

Regal Gallery Place Stadium 14: In the heart of Chinatown, Gallery Place 14 brings big time films to the heart of the downtown. Next door to the Verizon Center, moviegoers are treated for stadium seating, giant screens to watch, and a concession stand that has many great combos. You get over 10 screens of viewing pleasures. This venue has also been one of the many venues to host FilmFest DC. It has also hosted many Fantom movie events in the past. After the movie, you can go to Lucky Strike one floor down, or you can eat or shop at the many shops and restaurant in the area.

The Avalon Theater: It's one of DC's Oldest Movie Houses. This Chevy Chase Historic venue has been entertaining movie goers since they opened the doors in 1922. Unfortunately, it future of this historic venue was in danger after the company that owned the place filed bankruptcy, and they choose it as one of the venues close in March 2001. However, a group of outraged citizens united to save their beloved theater from the bulldozers. After years of lobbying and fundraising, The Avalon Theater re-opened their theater doors to guest on April 22, 2003. Like the theater in the past, The Avalon is a beautifully restored theater the features the best of old architecture with state-of-the art sound system, comfortable theater seating, big screen projections, and more. It also hosts film festivals like Filmfest DC, DC Independent Movie Festival, showcase films for Kids and Senoirs, and 1st run Hollywood Films. Before or After the show, you can stop by the American City Movie Diner for a pre or post movie meal.

Loews Uptown 1: It's the second oldest movie theater in Washington, DC. This historic venue in Cleveland Park is the home for 1st run Hollywood Blockbusters. It's also the go to place for the premiere of top notch Hollywood films. Guests are theater to theater like setting that includes comfortable stadium seating, big screens projections. It was one of the numerous theaters that have hosted films for the DC Film Festivals past and present. Around the theater, Cleveland has many great restaurants for pre and post film dining. On weekends, you can take the family to the zoo several blocks south of the Uptown.

Loews Georgetown 14: Since 2002, this movie theater has given Georgetown residents a new place to watch movies. This venue has 14 screens that runs 1st run Hollywood films and indy favorites. It also has shown advance screening of talk about Hollywood fims before their premiere date. Inside the theater, the concession stands serve tradition movie theater food. However, they do serve restaurant appetizers like chicken tenders, shrimps and more. Next door to the theater is Hersey's Ice Cream. After the film, you can check out the Georgetown Waterfront or get a bite to eat after the show!
