Going to a movie is one of America's favorite past times. Marquee Cinemas is a beautifully constructed movie theater located at 331 Southridge Blvd. at the Southridge Center in South Charleston. Ticket prices are $8.25 for adults, $6 for children ages 2-11 and $6 for Senior citizens ages 62 and older. Matinee shows starting before 6PM are $6.00 and early bird shows before 2PM Mon.-Thurs. are only $5.50. Saturday and Sunday special feature KidToons are also available for $3.50. The Marquee offers 3D films as well. Early bird showing before 2PM Mon.-Thurs. at $8, 3D matinee before 6PM, children's 3D and senior's 3D tickets all for $8.50. Adult's 3D film tickets for after 6PM are $10.75. Special engagement concerts are offered for all ages for $15.00. The Marquee Cinema theater has 12 screens, DTS sound, is THX Certified, is Handicap Accessible, has two separate concession areas, Dolby Digital Sound and stadium seating with high backed comfortable chairs. In Charleston, located at 600 Washington St. E, is the popular Park Place Stadium Cinemas. Their box office opens at 12:15PM and offers indoor parking for .75 cents after 11AM daily. There is a 4 hour maximum from Mon. to Sat. between 11AM-6:30PM, after which there is no limit nor all day on Sundays. Some of the key features Park Place has to offer are 11 stadium seating auditoriums (which are all handicap accessible), high backed rocking chairs, wall to wall curved screens, 4 Dolby Surround Ex, hearing impaired devices, Stadium Cafe items and Power Zone arcade. They have Matinee showings Mon. thru Thurs. at $5.00 for all ages and shows before 6PM at $5.50, also for all ages. Shows after 6PM are; $5.50 for children(ages 2-11), seniors over 65 and $8.00 for adults. There is also a $2.00 surcharge for any 3D films. Park Place Cinemas has terrific weekly bargains available. On Mondays there is Military pricing at just $5.50(with show of ID), $5.00 all day Tuesdays on select movies, Senior Wednesdays for only $4.50, free refills on all large drinks and popcorns every Thursday, Fridays students pay only $5.50 all day(with show of student ID), Saturday and Sunday there's buy 1 get 1 free kids meal for each child's ticket before 3PM. The city of Huntington's, Cinema Theatre, is located at 1021 4th Avenue and offers 4 handicap accessible auditoriums. They have wall to wall screens, comfortable high backed chairs with cup holders, hearing impaired devices and Dolby Surround Stereo. Before 6PM tickets prices are $2.00 and $3.00 after 6PM. On Tuesdays however, all shows are only $2.00. First run specials are $5.00 for all ages before 6PM and after 6PM are $7.00 for adults and $5.00 for children & seniors. Fountain Place Cinema 8, located in Logan, is a theater that offers plenty of free parking, 8 handicap accessible, stadium seating, auditoriums with Digital Sound, hearing impaired devices, loveseat chairs and wall to wall curved viewing screens. Show times before 6PM are $5.00 for all ages and after 6PM are $5.00 for children or seniors and $7.00 for adults. There is a $2.00 surcharge for any 3D tickets purchased.
