Kendig Square Cinemas is an older theater, and the only cinema in the southern end of Lancaster County. It is a six screen theatre with comfortable "tiered" seating. It is a discount suburban theater which runs movies which have been out for a while; but considering its prices it is a good deal for a family. The theater offers a variety of snack foods including soda and popcorn at a reasonable price. In recent years, they updated their projection system as well as their sound system. Online ticketing through www.fandago.com is not an option; however, times and listings of the movies being shown can be found their. It is located at the Kendig Square Shopping Plaza. The Plaza has several fast food places in which to dine. There is Taco Bell's, George's Kendig Square Restaurant for a more sit down experience or head towards Lancaster and you'll pass plenty of local restaurants.

Located near the Lancaster Airport, this is the newest gem in the county. Although slightly higher in price, this cinema is well worth the price. It has been voted by the Lancaster Newspaper's Readers Choice Awards as the Number One Theater in the Lancaster each year since its opening. They over comfortable stadium seating with fold-up arm rests and high backed seats. The 35 foot screen and 14 auditoriums make for a most enjoyable experience. The food in the concession stands is delicious. Monday evenings they offer the pleasurable experience of being able to see Classic films. Within the airport is a fabulous Italian restaurant called Fiorentino's Italian Restaurant. Their food can't be beat.

This theater is an older theater with just one screen located in the lower western end of the county. Seats are relatively comfortable with "tiered seating". It features indie films and foreign films. Some movies seen at this theater may be the only place you can see them, that is unless you are willing to travel to a larger city. Usually there is one showing a night and two on the weekend. They offer the best popcorn in the area. Located near Millersville University and the Regal Manor there are several places where food can be purchased. May I suggest George's Family Restaurant on Main St Millersville offering fried chicken to hamburgers or Rosa Rosa Ristorante on 398 Harrisburg Ave. for their delicious Italian food.

The theater itself offers stadium seating and first fun films. There are 16 auditoriums within this facility. The Cinema features old style stadium seating and surround sound. They carry first run films.

www.fandango.com is a good place to order tickets online, if that theater permits this service. Times and movies being shown at the theaters can be found in one location, Fandango.
