The Uptown Theater is the oldest and least expensive movie theater in the Utica, NY area, featuring 3 screens and stadium seating, but with limited movie selections and concession services. The restored historic building attracts a smaller and typically older crowd with a more classic movie experience. Café Domenico is a great local coffee shop located across the street and there are several fast food restaurants nearby.

The Rome Cinema is a modest movie theater complex that is convenient for residents of Rome, NY who don't want to drive half an hour to see a movie. Rome Cinema features 8 screens, good sound, and a concession. They often have special midnight showings. I saw the film melt during Spiderman 3 a couple years ago, but they refunded the ticket price. The movie theater is located in a plaza with a McDonalds, while Taco Bell and Pizza Hut are located nearby.
