While the group is being shipped to Madagascar, the penguins escape their enclosure and take over the ship, causing it to be cast away and shipwrecked on the island of Madagascar. Thus the adventure begins. This movie is great for children and parents because it teaches many morals about life and how one should learn to live with their situations in life and endure. This is also a great movie that gives your child an early lesson on geography!
Madagascar 2: This movie has the same fascinating and hilarious characters that it had in the first movie. The three feathered and flightless friends hatch a plan to build a plane to get off the island... However, their plot to take flight to the homeland of the United States fails, and they crash in the heart of Africa, linking Alex to his home pride.... This is a must see.

Completely agree about Mad #1. Attended a seminar on Creation v Evolution recently - and the speaker employed a scene from Mad #1 to make his point. Hilarious - and effective!
