Movies I Didn't Want to See but was Glad I Did

Took a While to Catch My Attention, but Worth the Wait

House of Flying Daggers- I am really not a fan of these types of films, but this one was done very well. I've tried watching films like this before, but I could never get into them. But the storyline and the characters really worked for 'House Of Flying Daggers'. Great effects, intriguing story, and great acting made this a wonderful film.

Napoleon Dynamite- Now this came as a total shock to me, I was not interested in the least. But one day my brother sat me down and told me I had to watch it and he assured me I would like it. After the first time I wasn't all that impressed, but I would think of scenes and start laughing. So when I watched it the second time and every time after, it was the funniest thing ever. All I can say is give it two tries, if you don't like It after that, it's just not for you lol.

Troy- My favorite war film was and still is to this day 'Braveheart', but 'Troy' is a very close second place. This was another movie I was talked into watching. My friend told me to just watch the first battle scene and after that if I wanted we could turn it off. I watched the scene and I knew right off that I was going to be a fan. The story and characters were put together perfectly.

Kill Bill Vol. 1- I wasn't interested in the least, unlike the majority of America, Quentin Tarentino's name doesn't excite me lol. My brother rented this and he hadn't seen it either and he kept trying to get me to watch it with him, so I gave in and had a seat. After a few minutes I was hooked, I love movies and stories of revenge, so I was pleased at how this turned out.

Batman Begins- I wasn't thrilled when I saw the trailer for 'Batman Begins'. I was confused actually, I wondered why they would start over again and why people were so excited about it. Like so many movies before, my brother told me I just had to go see it with him, and being the good little brother that I am, I went along. From the very first scene I was hooked. If you are going to redo a franchise, this is the way to do it.

Lord of War- This movie wasn't advertised the best, because the trailers don't do it justice. This is the best I have seen Cage since 'Leaving Las Vegas'. The storyline was perfect along with the acting and overall feel. And that ending, I had to watch the ending three times before I could get over it lol.
