Moving Announcements - Where to Find Them

Jessica Ann
You've finally gotten to the point where the big moving day is getting closer. You're looking for a way to let everyone know where you're going in a classier manner than waiting for everyone to get returned mail when you forwarding order expires at the post office. A great way to get all your friends and family current on your whereabouts is to send out your own announcement of the big move. Here's a variety of places to get moving announcements to get you moving.

The movingannouncementstore has a nice variety of moving announcements that are also eco-friendly. What better way to do this then send notices on recycled paper. There are many to choose from here and they start at $1.29 each. Whether you're moving to the beach or the city you will find a card that fits you just right. Another option they offer is a photo moving announcement where you can add a photo of your new home as long as you are ordering over twenty-five and they can be shipped within five business days or you can also get them express shipped. There are choices for the photo announcements that also start at $1.29 each.

Partyinvitations.com also offers a lot of varieties of cards along with photo announcements. All their invitations can be ordered pre-printed or blank and can start as low as $1.20 each. Something they offer here which is just too cute is that you send them a picture of the new house and they will turn it into a six or twenty-four piece puzzle. These can be sent in ziploc bags or a gift box and start as low as $2.30 each for one hundred or more. You can get blank cards within two business days or printed cards in as little as three business days. All announcements come with either black lettering or you can also get color lettering for an additional charge. They also have the photo announcements and all you have to do is get them the photo and they will send you proofs by e-mail until you are 100% satisfied. For an extra charge they can put your printed information on the back of the card, rather than on the side with the photo in case you want to put a lot of information on there such as directions to your new home. Matching envelopes are also available.

You may also want to take a look at colorsbydesign.com where you can order any of the moving announcements cards printed or blank and they are compatible with most laser and ink jet printers. If you want to save a little money, order the blank cards with the design you like and then print out your own name and new address and any information you may want on them right onto the blank card. I found the best way to do this at home is to make some samples on photocopies of the cards you order that way you can make any adjustments to them before printing on the good cards. If you're not sure that your printer can handle the job, then just order a sample first so you don't get stuck with a bunch of cards you can use, unless you want to handwrite on them. You can get fifty cards and envelopes for around $45.00 or you can get them already printed for about double the price of the blank cards. They have several different designs to choose from.

If you don't have the time or patience to look all over and still choose a design, you may want to try notepolish.com where you have just three choices and easy decisions. The first is a very classy and elegant card which costs $24.00 for ten blank cards or and add $7.00 to get those ten cards printed. You then choose your font and tell them what you want your card to say and voila, you're done. One of the other choices here is a cute card with a glittered sofa on it which you can also order blank for $16.00 or already printed for an additional $7.00 on ten cards. If you choose these and decide you want to print them yourself, then make sure to put a sticky note over the couch so the glitter doesn't get rub off in your printer.
