Moving on (it's Not Over)

Amanda Smith
One time I felt so small,
Like a sparrow feather floating through the deep Santa Anna winds in the summer,
Now I know this place like the back of my hand,
I know every piece of the puzzle; in the timer of our past I know every grain of sand.

Walking through the halls I now know so well
I sit and wonder, I sit and dwell-

All of the memories, some soon we will forget
All of the times spent within these walls, not a moment of regret.
Our elders tell us it's time to move on, however
I feel such a deep connection you you, such a strong bond
I fret in the light of a new beginning;
All of the "good-byes" that must be said
Although I know it's time for us to go, time to move ahead.
Whether the future is certain, we know the past has been set in our hearts
and, No matter where each of our roads will take us, we'll never truly be apart.
