If you're traveling outside of Columbia this season and flying out of Kansas City or St. Louis, you may be looking for a ride to and from the airport. Sure, you could drive yourself the two hours and park your car at the airport for the duration of your trip, but the cost of parking at the airport is atrocious and the longer your stay, the more it will cost you in the end. A better option is to use a locally owned shuttle service, and if you're in Columbia or any of its surrounding cities, MO-X is the way to go.
MO-X, short for MOExpress, is a shuttle service that's been servicing Columbia and its neighbors for quite sometime now and has a heavy base of loyal customers. Being in Columbia, directly in the center of the state and between the two biggest airports in Missouri (St. Louis and Kansas City), they are easily able to offer twelve roundtrip routes to the St. Louis airport every day, and five daily roundtrip routes to the Kansas City International airport. There is a set schedule to their routes, just like any public transportation system, so you can't pick just any time, but with that many opportunities, there's bound to be one that will fit your needs.
For Mid-Missouri travelers who are not in Columbia, MO-X also offers shuttle service pickups at a specified location in Kingdom City (to the east of Columbia) as well as Boonville (to the west of Columbia). They don't pick up at these locations every day, so it's important to call or swing by the website at least twenty-four hours in advance to reserve your spot.
The main pickup spot for travelers in Columbia is the MO-X office, which is located on the corner of the Business Loop and Providence (across from Hickman High School and McDonald's). If you know that you'll be unable to make it to the MO-X office, but still live inside of the Columbia city limits, you can arrange to have MO-X pick you up at your own home for a small additional cost. Either way, MO-X goes out of their way to make sure you can make it to your destination on time.
To learn more about MO-X and the opportunities that they offer, you can visit their website at www.moexpress.com , call them at 573-256-1991 (toll free at 877-669-4826 if you're outside of Columbia), or stop by their office at 303 Business Loop 70 East in Columbia.
