Mr. Clean Tools: Mr. Clean Iron Handle Scrub Brush is a hard plastic bristled scrub brush that's perfect for the tougher scrub jobs in the kitchen. For instance, what I use it for is to clean the cast iron skillets and griddles almost on a daily basis. I mention "almost on a daily basis" for the purpose of showing how well this particular Mr. Clean brush holds up. Again, Mr. Clean Tools: Mr. Clean Iron Handle Scrub Brush is perfect for cleaning cast iron skillets and griddles, because it's best not to use any soap on cast iron and only clean them after each use with a good stiff brush.
I've gone through several different brands or makers of stiff plastic brushes, using them for the same reason I use the Mr. Clean Iron Handle Scrub Brush. None of them have held up nearly as well as this brush in Mr. Clean's arsenal of tools.
In fact, the several I went through before stopping stiffly on Mr. Clean: Mr. Clean Iron Handle Scrub Brush didn't last long at all. This, too, was after feeling how hard the plastic bristles were before buying and assessing the bristles were the hardness I wanted, the handle comfortable enough, how well it might work for how I was going to use it, and so forth. Yet, even after doing all I could to make a smart purchase of one of the many scrub brushes offered, all of them failed until I landed on, in retrospect, the obvious choice: Mr. Clean Tools: Mr. Clean Iron Handle Scrub Brush. Though, to be fair, I didn't run across it while I was trying the various other scrub brushes.
Upon finding it, I was suspect at first of the obvious marketing copywrite in how they named the brush itself: "Iron Handle." It doesn't have an iron handle. It's plastic, but it has a decent ergonomic feel about it. What really impressed me, when inspecting it for possible purchase, was the plastic bristles were just about the exact stiffness I'd been looking for all along my search for the perfect cast iron scrub brush.
While the Mr. Clean Tools: Mr. Clean Iron Handle Scrub Brush is perfect cast iron cleaning, obviously, you can use it for more than cleaning cast iron. The Mr. Clean Tools: Mr. Clean Iron Handle Scrub Brush lasts much longer than all of the other brushes I've gone through, even when using the other brushes so as to save them for as long as possible. Look out for the Mr. Clean Iron Handle Scrub Brush if you want a good brush amongst the brushes you have already. I recommend this one.
