Mr. Destiny

Mr. Destiny

Mr. Destiny, Can you deal the cards again?

This time, one by one,

Instead of all at once

Because suddenly this game of life is no fun...

The mirror has started to betray me

And show me an empty shell

I've been been pushed over

And over the cliff I fell.

You give me sweet moments

But those moments are poison to another part

I live with a longing

For another part of my heart.

Give me back my peace

The hope that kept me sweet

Because I'm tired of the darkness

Just let me land on my feet.

Let there be a day soon

Where it makes perfect sense

Where you let me leave it all behind

And I am in my happiness' presence.....

Thanks for your comment on my poem, "Longing". I enjoyed reading some of your work as well, especially this poem.
