When you first start up the game, you will be taken to a screen where you can select the level you wish to play. On the Select Level screen, click on a square with a highlighted star. The first level you will play is the tutorial, which will guide you through the game controls as well as how to complete certain objectives. Once you complete the tutorial, you will be able to move on to play harder levels with different objectives.
Under the Select Level button, you will see a button for Upgrades. Click on this button to access the list of available upgrades. Use money you collect from the game to purchase upgrades. The upgrades list is organized into a 3x4 chart with pictures of the types of things that you can upgrade. Click on one of these 12 pictures to get a more detailed analysis of the aspects of the item that you can upgrade. For example, clicking on the picture of Mr. Skitz will allow you to upgrade body armor, rage time, the amount of money you get in-game, stripe color, box number, and healing rate. There are a number of weapons that you can purchase and upgrade. You start out with the simple Gun, which you can upgrade once you have enough money. Other guns that are available for purchase include: dual guns, revolver, dual revolvers, sawed-off shotgun, dual sawed-off shotguns, sub-machine gun, dual machine guns, tactical shotgun, assault rifle, and rocket launcher. Each item has four different aspects of it that can be upgraded.
Under the Upgrades button, you will see a button titled Achievements. Click on this button to view your in-game achievements. You can roll your mouse over the achievement to see what it is you have to do to accomplish certain achievements. Completing achievements will earn you cash as well as other bonuses that can make the gameplay more enjoyable.
