Mrs. America to Attend Cottelville Saint Patrick's Day Parade in St. Charles County, Missouri

There are several ways to register for the run as follows:

Mrs. America, Andrea Robertson, will be a part of the St. Patrick's Day festivities in Cottleville, Missouri. The Cottleille Fire Fighters Community Outreach Program is hosting the 2^nd Annual "Run for the Helmet" and Parade On March, 13, 2010. With a 7K run and a 1-mile walk, it is no wonder the extremely athletic Robertson is endorsing the event.

Robertson was born in St. Charles, Missouri where she was raised along with 3 older brothers. While playing a variety of sports, she learned to be tough and competitive. She attended the University of Missouri where she played soccer and eventually married her high school sweetheart, Ryan, who played one year for the NBA.

The Saint Patrick's Day Parade and Run for the Helmet is expected to draw 1500 runners and about 20,000 parade goers to the event. There is typically 100 or more floats in the parade which include commercial businesses, political campaigns, and non-profit organizations.

Anyone is welcome to join the parade for a small donation fee. Walking Units will be charged $25 while commercial entries will be $50. Any political entries will be $100. If you register after March 3^rd, they will also charge an additional late fee of $50.

The St. Charles Chapter of the Loyal Order of Hibernians will lead the parade just like last year. All parade attendees will be judged on best-decorated, best commercial, and best walking unit.

REGISTRATION FOR THE RUN

There are several ways to register fro the run to include the following:

In Person -March 8th - March 12th @ Cottleville Fire Station #1; 12p.m - 7p.m.There will be a one hour window between 7:00 and 8:00 A.M. the morning of the race to register in person. There will be an additional $5.00 fee for registering at that time.

By Mail - Must be received by March 12th, 2010 (Cottleville Fire Station #1, 1385 Motherhead Rd. Cottleville Mo. 63304; ATTN: Race)

THE DAY OF THE RUN

Date/Time - March 13th.

Shirt pickup - between 7 A.M. - 9 A.M. T-shirt and number pickup will be at the Cottleville Fire Station #1, March 8th-12th, from 12p.m. - 7 p.m.

Run starts - 9 AM.

Starting Line -Cottleville Fire Station #1 located at 1385 Motherhead Rd.

Finish Line - Sherlock's Steak & Seafood 5357 Hwy "N".

Price - $20 Pre-register and $25 Day of Event - No group discounts.

PARADE INFORMATION

"The parade will begin at Noon and starts at Francis Howell Central High. It will end at Warren Elementary. There will be a charge this year to enter the parade as a means of covering parade related costs.

This parade is not a CFCO event and none of the monies from entry fees benefit CFCO. However, it is a great chance for the local businesses and families to partake in a great event and show pride in our community.
