Mrs. Freshley's brand snack cakes are regularly stocked and sold at an ever growing number of food stores in the Hartford, Connecticut area. Last night, I ate a Mrs. Freshley's Carrot Cake for the first time and I'm very glad that I tried the item.
Presented here, as a service to the consumer at large, is one food writer's product review of Mrs. Freshley's single serving size Carrot Cake.

The net weight of the standard sized package of Mrs. Freshley's single serving Carrot Cake is 3.5 ounces (99 grams). One of these cakes counts as one serving. In physical size, this cake measures in at roughly 5" x 3".
Price
The regular retail price charged for one 3.5 ounce Mrs. Freshley's single serving Carrot Cake at Hartford, Connecticut area food retailers ranges between $0.99c and $1.29.
This price range seems very reasonable to me. If the price of this cake was even a little higher, I would still think the price was reasonable, because the cake tastes so good.
Texture / Consistency
What a pleasant texture Mrs. Freshley's Carrot Cake possesses. The cake part is nice and moist and it holds together very well. The cake is also dotted with several small pieces of walnuts, which add some nice crunch to the cake.
The frosting is smooth and creamy and it is a great counterpart to the cake. The overall mouth feel offered by this packaged cake is quite pleasing.

No exaggeration, Mrs. Freshley's is quite possibly the best tasting carrot cake I've ever eaten. The cake part features a pleasing wheat flour based flavor, with hints of cinnamon, carrots and walnuts shining through.
The cream cheese style frosting that tops the cake tastes absolutely splendid. When I was eating this cake last night, I savored every single morsel. Strangely enough, when I was eating it, the cake did not taste overly sweet, only indescribably delicious.
After reading the nutrition facts label for the cake, I learned that it contains a substantial amount of sugar, which adds to the overall flavor of the item, but it means that I have to brush my teeth immediately after eating the cake.
