Mrs. Freshley's Vanilla Cupcakes

Consumer Product Review

Over the course of the past year or two, I have become a big fan of Mrs. Freshley's brand snack cakes. Lately, I have been eating Mrs. Freshley's Vanilla Cupcakes on a fairly regular basis. Here in the Hartford, Connecticut area, the two packs of these cupcakes are stocked and sold at an ever - growing number of food retailers.

Presented here, as a service to the consumer at large, is an article which reviews and examines Mrs. Freshley's Vanilla Cupcakes.

Size
The net weight of the standard sized, two cupcake package of Mrs. Freshley's Vanilla Cupcakes is 3.6 ounces. The package holds two good - sized cupcakes and one cupcake counts as one serving.

Price
The regular retail price charged for one 3.6 ounce package of Mrs. Freshley's Vanilla Cupcakes ranges between $0.99c and $1.39. This price range seems very reasonable to me. These cupcakes are delicious and of very good quality and they are certainly worth $0.50c - 0.70c each.

Texture / Consistency
The cake part of these cupcakes features a nice and soft, yet appropriately - firm texture that one finds with expertly baked items. The cake contains a good amount of creme filling and the cupcakes are topped with a fairly firm icing that marries well with the other components. The overall mouth feel offered by these cupcakes is quite pleasing.

Nutritional Facts
Mrs. Freshley's Vanilla Cupcakes contain 190 calories, with 50 calories from fat, per one cupcake serving. These cupcakes also contain 2 grams of saturated fat, 0 grams trans fat, 6 grams total fat, 10 mg of cholesterol, 150 mg of sodium, 32 grams total carbohydrates, 0 grams of dietary fiber, 24 grams of sugars and 1 gram of protein, per one cupcake serving.

Taste / Flavor
These packaged cupcakes really do taste quite good. The cake part of these cupcakes is fairly moist and does not taste overly sweet. The creme filling in the cakes is very tasty and the frosting tastes good and sweet, but it definitely tastes like a commercially prepared icing.

At roughly $0.60c per cupcake, the flavor offered by Mrs. Freshley's Vanilla Cupcakes is actually very good. On a flavor scale of one through ten, I would assign these cupcakes a rating of nine.

Packaging
Mrs. Freshley's Vanilla Cupcakes are packaged in standard type, single serving plastic cupcake cups. The cups are enclosed in a two tone blue plastic wrapper that features a clear, plastic see through window through which the cupcakes can be viewed. The package opens easily and the rear label lists all pertinent ingredient and nutritional information.

Overall Rating
In this reviewer's humble opinion, Mrs. Freshley's consistently produces some of the best snack cake products available in American food stores. Distributed by Flowers Foods Specialty Group of Tucker, Georgia, these snack cakes are steadily becoming more popular in the Hartford area, which is evidenced by the growing number of stores where they are stocked and sold.

Mrs. Freshley's Vanilla Cupcakes are quite tasty, well - textured cupcakes that are inexpensively priced. Cupcakes are very popular across America and to me, these cupcakes are almost as good as homemade or bakery produced cupcakes.

If you happen to see these delectable cupcakes at a food retailer in your area, I recommend that you try them. If you're a fan of tasty, good old fashioned cupcakes, chances are, you would enjoy eating Mrs. Freshley's Vanilla Cupcakes.
