MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell Berates Republican Congressman Chaffetz for Sleeping in His Office

Snidely Whiplash
If you've not spent 4 minutes watching this interview you need to and desperately too!

O'Donnell, the admitted socialist at MSNBC spent 4 minutes grilling Republican Congressman Jason Chaffetz about his sleeping in his Congressional office. In the badgering O'Donnell repeated himself and his lame questions over and over, even though Chaffetz answered the question every time O'Donnell badgered him.

O'Donnell began his questioning with the premise that because Chaffetz SAVES money by not paying rent on a DC area abode, Chaffetz must report the money he saves as income - that's right! According to O'Donnell, money Chaffetz's does not spend is now income, even though he reports his entire income as earnings. So what does this insanity portend?

First O"Donnell is just a smarmy, angry defeated leftist who knows his ideology is being rejected by at least 70% of this nation and he is seemingly madder than a Hatter. He calls Chaffetz a "tax criminal" for not reporting to the IRS that he is SAVING his money. Since when is NOT SPENDING money a crime? It's a crime to have unreported income, but so long as one reports their income, how is their SAVING of their income a new form of earnings in need of reporting as such? Is this where the left would like to go with such stupidity?

As well O'Donnell asked intensely personal questions which Chaffetz kindly answered. Questions like "Does your wife work" and "How much is your mortgage on your Utah home?" Wish he'd have asked me those questions. Bet his ears would still be hurting from the volume of my replies. Congressman Chaffetz, ever the gentleman, smiled and retained his decorum. Better man than I.

By the way, haven't a sizable number of Democrats done this as well? Not that I am asking to report them, but merely to once again highlight the incessant progressive hypocrisy.

Let's extrapolate, shall we? I could easily afford a new car, prolly in the $50K range if I so chose. So am I a tax criminal for not spending money on a new BMW and instead my wife drives the 2004 Camry and I drive the 2000 Tacoma? I am saving what, $800 a month buy driving my Tacoma that has 177K miles on it? Should I report the unspent $800 per month as earnings? Folks, is there a more demonstrative example of leftist insanity and vitriol than to accuse one of being a "tax criminal" for living in a personally responsible manner? How does that work exactly?

In the O'Donnell/Chaffetz interview O'Donnell continually asked Chaffetz if he was reporting his savings to the IRS? When Chaffetz REPEATEDLY answered "no, of course not," O'Donnell then threatened Chaffetz that he himself would notify the IRS.

First besides the fact that O'Donnell is a left headed loon of monumental proportions, since when does media act as law enforcement? I mean c'mon now. They will watch a crime, film it, go to press with their "exclusive" coverage but I'll bet not a one of them thought to call the cops do they? But Chaffetz NOT SPENDING money is now considered income by Asshat O'Donnell?

Really, watch the interview (by clicking the first hyperlink). There are two kinds of people in this world. Those that will watch it and think "This is pure ignorance, insanity and hateful politics" and then there are those that think any denigration to defame anyone not a progressive is a worthy endeavor. One of those groups can go to Hell as far as I'm concerned. Any takers as to which group I think needs to take a hike?

On the positive side, the interview is high comedy for sure. O'Donnell's badgering makes Hannity look like a school kid. One can see O'Donnell is near blowing a gasket, and I would pay money to see "blood shoot out of his eyes" as Beck often offers. Is it any wonder folks like me look forward to the day when whatever conservative/progressive showdown is on the horizon finally manifests? People like O'Donnell make me want to have a face to face meeting of the mind with them. This man needs some manners and by God I am just the SOB to teach him some too! Hey Larry, call me...we'll "chat!" O'Donnell is a POS and that's my being generous.

We've got idiots everywhere. If they're not legislating, they're pontificating about the legislating. O'Donnell is wrong here. I'm with Chaffetz. Why get an apartment? Saves time and money. Good job, Congressman. Besides, it's the only place he doesn't seem to want to wear his gun (nor can he without a special federal permit -- ask Orrin Hatch). Of all the moronic crap going on in Washington -- and a good bit of it in the conservative corner -- what the hell is O'Donnell yelling about? This is where you see Jon Stewart sit up and deride MSNBC for pettiness -- and rightly so...

O'Donnell should be hosptilized. He surely is mentally deranged. He needs help.

This is why MSNBC is in the toilet, and rightly so.

As the big-government loving types in this country watch the power slip between their fingers like so much sand, they'll get even more desperate than O'Donnell. I'll check back again, to see who sides with him, and I'll then know everything I need to know.
