Mt. Fuji Restaurant - a Great First Date in the New York Metro Area
Live in the Tri-State Area and Have a Big First Date Coming Up - Try Mt. Fuji
Nestled in the mountains of Hillburn, New York, you need only to Mapquest Mt. Fuji Restaurant to know you can take your first date to Hillburn from anywhere in New Jersey and the surrounding New York Tri-State area. Make reservations by calling 845-357-4270.
When you arrive, you'll be taken in by the breathtaking Japanese architecture and spectacular views. You can choose to sit alone with your date, but I highly recommend requesting to be seated at one of the numerous Hibachi tables, where you'll be dazzled and entertained by one of Mt. Fuji Restaurant's brilliant chefs. You'll be seated around a table with similarly situated strangers, which could make for a very interesting and fun evening.
Have a few drinks with dinner, keeping in mind that you'll have to navigate that steep, twisting mountain again to take your date home. I tell you from experience, it's easy to over-indulge in such a fun atmosphere, and I nearly crashed my car down the mountainside - twice. So, designate a driver or limit yourself to two or three drinks.
Mt. Fuji Restaurant offers a number of dishes from their renowned sushi bar, including Sashami, Tatsuta-Age, Kushi-Yaki Beef, Shumai, Gyoza, Kani, Tempura Medley, and Edamame. Or try their Miso Soup, Japanese Onion Soup and variety of Japanese salads.
But let's get right down to why you chose Mt.Fuji Restaurant for your first date - the flaming presentation of Hibachi artistry. Your chef will have you laughing the entire evening as he prepares your meal in front of you on a Hibachi grill. You'll select two of the following sizzling entrees: Banzai Chicken, Samurai Steak, Sukiyaki Steak, Mt. Fuji Filet Mignon, Hibachi Shrimp, Hibachi Lobster, Hibachi Scallops, Sakura Salmon, and Mt Fuji Fantasy, an exquisite ocean medley of succulent lobster tail, savory scallops and jumbo shrimp.
May I be so bold as to suggest the Filet Mignon with Lobster?
For dessert, try the Mt. Fuji Sundae, the Mt. Fuji Iceball, Ogura Ice Cream, or the Chocolate Mousee Cake.
The prices at Mt. Fuji Restaurant are very reasonable considering the atmosphere, the quality of the food and the entertainment your master chef is sure to provide throughout your dinner. All said, your first date should cost you no more than two hundred dollars (much of that may be alcohol), including tips for chef, coat check, and valets.
The Mt. Fuji Restaurant first date dining experience is magical and like no other. Mt. Fuji also does wedding banquets and a Murder Mystery Show. Ask about them while you're there.
And please, keeping that mountain in mind, take it easy on the Saki.

When you come inside, it looks like a typical fast food chinese restaurant with the high prices and cheap food. Their chefs are chinese as well.
Sushi are horrible, food is too oily, place is dirty and too much noise.
Wouldn't recommend spending so much money on garbage.

When I went to Mt Fuji I was just driving on a nature trip with my boyfriend when I saw a place off set in the mountain we were passing on the highway, and I said lets go see what that is. It took us some time to find it, the surrounding neighbors did not know what I was talking about when I mentioned the lights at the top of the hill.
Once we arrived it was a surprise to find the Beautiful Garden entry. We decided to try it and loved every bite. The restroom was clean and working.. I'm going there today. I'll be back to let you know how it was. We talked about that place forever. That was 1 year ago. And theres some great beach in nearby NJ wil spectacular from a postcard view I have to find. Though I'm not going there with my first boyfriend, I am going on a new first date.

I'm sorry to hear that, Thalia. I had nothing but good experiences at Mt. Fuji. Though I was never there when it was 103 degrees outside. A belated Happy Birthday anyhow.
Hey Jack, I think you had too much sake. I just celebrated or rather tried to celebrate my birthday at Mt. Fuji. For starters, it was hot as hell, I felt like I was in a Japanese bath house. I might as well have been in one. I would have enjoyed it much better. When I asked the wait staff to turn up the air conditioner she said it was on full blast. Then the friendly folks sitting behind us decided to ask the annoying "birthday singer" to close the screens which left the rest of section roasting. To take a break from the sweltering heat, I went to the ladies room to find out that the toilet doesn't flush and there is no running water from the sinks. Mt. Fuji left us pitchers of water to wash our hands. How generous of them. If you want scenary, I'll give them that much, but that's it.
