MTA Dumbfounds Onlookers Twice as Much at Jay St. Station

The MTA has had about as many transit issues as it has miles of rails and subways stations. So it's no surprise that when they finally do get around to improving something about the service it is paid to provide, or the appearance of a subway station, the majority of the instances they don't do it as well as what the average Joe would call...well, average. In other words, if it were a school paper grade, MTA would more times than not barely scrape by with a "C."

Not so in the case of the Jay St. subway station, since the appearance of the station has been neglected for sooo...long. Now that they're finally doing something about it, most persons would agree that only doing something to the station that amounts to a "C" is actually a failing grade. Simply painting over the ceiling and leaving the surface uneven may be called an improvement, but when compared to how long the Jay St. subway station has been neglected, MTA is only leaving onlookers just as dumbfounded as they were while it wasn't painted, if not twice as much. What's worse, is the MTA wasn't even going to paint it, until The Brooklyn Paper ran a story on such, prompting MTA to include a paint job on the station.
